Today has been a busy day for our Tiny Toppers! We had our October Student of the Month assembly this morning. Our October character trait was "Leadership." Super job to these students for being great leaders inside their classroom and out 🎉

Duck Race Part 4

Our fundraiser wouldn't have been possible without Chickasaw Emergency Management! Thank you to our fire department for making these kids' day, and hopefully giving them a memory that will stick with them forever!

HLES PTO put on a "duck race" fundraiser and it was a hit! Each grade got to purchase ducks, and our local fire department came and helped us flood the hill for the race. Our students and teachers enjoyed this fundraiser!

🍬🍭 HLES TREAT WALK – WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🍭🍬

Our Treat Walk is almost here, and we are running a little short on candy! 🎃

We want to make sure all of our students have a fun and exciting experience, so we are asking our wonderful HLES families to help us out!

If you are able, please send in an additional bag or two of individually wrapped candy. Every donation, big or small, will help us make this event special for our students! Students will also receive 10 Topper Tokens for each bag donated.

HLES students from Mrs. Weaver's and Mrs. Salazar's classes enjoyed a day of fun games, horse riding, and interactive activities at the 26th annual Frankie's Fall Fun Day. Thank you to all volunteers and organizers for helping make this such an inclusive, fun event for our students and their families.

Our Butterfly Garden at HLES may not have butterflies yet, but it is ready for Fall!! Mrs. Patti Pettit in Woodland helped us with decorations, and the students have loved seeing them through the windows in the cafeteria. Our students and Ms. Shalaura McKinney have also been working hard to get our planters filled up. We can't wait to see all the progress to come.

We are excited to be hosting our 2nd Annual Miss Merry Mistletoe Pageant on Thursday, December 10. Forms are being sent home, but you can also pick one up from Houston Lower Elementary or Houston Middle School.
