The cafeteria workers at HLES worked extremely hard preparing a delicious Thanksgiving meal for over 1,000 people this week. We are grateful to have them on our team!

HLES would like to congratulate our Teacher of the Month, Ms. Frances Allen, and our Staff Member of the Month, Mrs. Judy Cook. They are both hard-working, very deserving, and great assets to our school!


HLES loves our community helpers! Thanks so much to the policemen, fire fighters, and other community leaders who came and ate lunch with our students during Thanksgiving this week! We appreciate you so much! You truly made our students' day amazing!

Friday is Fun Day at HLES! Our PTO is working hard to make this day so much fun for our students! Be sure to get your $5 to your child's teacher or send it to the PTO using the information on the flyer!

Taylor Gayden and Lynlee Harmon were Principals for the Day at HLES! They earned this honor by being respectful, responsible, and ready and earning 100 tokens! They got to supervise recess, help with Paws and Pages, make announcements, and complete paperwork for their school! Great job, girls! Thanks for the help!




HLES - K4 and Head Start classes walked to downtown to visit with our local library! They enjoyed listening to music and painting Christmas ornaments. Thank you for letting us come and visit with you!





HLES hosted Paws & Pages today where students read with fur buddies and adopted a "pet" to read with at home.








HLES had a guest principal today! Sam Jones did a great job helping with cafeteria duty, paperwork, and observing classrooms! Great job, Sam!
