The D.A.R.E. program has been a big success with our 3rd graders at HUES! Our students have really enjoyed the lessons and love learning from our SRO, Mr. Shea. They are learning how to make smart choices, say no to peer pressure, and be good leaders at school and at home. We are so proud of how responsible and confident they are becoming!
We want to thank Mrs. Richardson and Miss Dewberry for showing up to work everyday at HUES. Mrs. Richardson had perfect attendance in December. Miss Dewberry had perfect attendance in January. We appreciate their dedication and all they do for their students and staff!

HUES would like to thank our PTO for providing bagels for our staff yesterday morning for National Bagel Day. It was a much needed tasty treat. Thank you, PTO!
Art students in Mrs. Burt’s class explored the art of weaving through a hands-on creative project. Students practiced this weaving skill in preparation for making bookmarks next week. It took a lot of patience, but they had the best time.

HUES Award's Day Schedule 2025
STATE testing begins tomorrow at HUES! These are major tests. Our students and teachers have been working hard all year for this. Please help us by making sure your child:
1. Go to bed early. Make sure they get plenty of sleep.
2. Eat a good, healthy breakfast.
3. Have a good attitude walking in school doors.
4. Get them to school early so they can get ready and prepared. Doors open at 7:10.
5. Attendance is very important. Please make sure they come to school everyday.
This is the time to shine. We need all our students ready to go. Thank you for your help this year in making it the best yet.

This morning we will be conducting Lockdown Drills with Law Enforcement officers at all CCSD schools. These drills are done to practice and to improve safety procedures. Again, today is only a drill.
