🎉 HMS Pep Rally Fun! 🎉
Houston Middle School brought the energy today with an unforgettable Homecoming Pep Rally! The HHS Band kicked things off with an electric performance, followed by our spirited HMS Cheerleaders who had the crowd on their feet. After the grand entrance of our Homecoming Court, the Speech and Drama students wowed everyone with a creative skit that stole the show.
The teachers then took the fun to another level with an amazing race—complete with blow-up costumes—that had students laughing and cheering from start to finish! And the excitement didn’t stop there... Mrs. Joyce Moore won the HMS PTO’s Kiss the Pig Contest, but when the pig made a quick escape, she kissed a goat instead! 🐐💋
Join us tonight for the HMS Homecoming Basketball Game as the Hilltoppers take on Houlka! The first game tips off at 5 PM, and admission is $7. Come out and support our Hilltoppers!

Each student was given an equation like y = 2x + 1, picked an x-value, calculated their y-value, and then walked to the spot that matched their coordinate.
It was an awesome way to turn equations into real-life movement — learning, laughing, and seeing math come to life! 🙌✨

Students located these integers on a number line, compared their values, and even performed operations with them — all while having a blast connecting math to something they love. 💥
