🚀🥚💡 Our 8th Grade Computer Science & Engineering students put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test this week with an Egg Drop Challenge! Students designed and engineered constructs to protect an egg dropped from an elevated position—all while applying their knowledge of Newton’s 3 Laws of Motion and key physics concepts learned in class.
It was an exciting way to bring science to life, and we are proud of the innovation and teamwork our students showed! 👏 🐐

Our students had an amazing time at Incredible Pizza! After all of their dedication and hard work in the classroom, it was the perfect opportunity to relax, laugh, and have fun together. From games to rides — and of course, plenty of pizza 🍕 — memories were made that we’ll cherish for a long time.

This is awesome! 🎉 The Beta Club is a great opportunity for students — it recognizes academic achievement, leadership, character, and service. Having it at our school not only gives students a chance to be honored for their hard work but also helps them develop skills through community service and leadership activities.

Today in Mr. Gates’ class at Houston Middle School, students reviewed ratios with an exciting game of Grudgeball! Similar to the popular classroom game Trashketball, Grudgeball keeps everyone on their toes with a twist — when a team answers a question correctly, they earn a point and get the chance to take points away from other teams.
Students could also shoot a basket for an extra point, making the game fast-paced, competitive, and full of energy. It’s a creative way to practice math skills while building teamwork, strategy, and a little friendly rivalry!

🍎 6th Grade Math – Students colorfully explored ratios! Using "Froot Loops," they compared different quantities, building a strong foundation for understanding proportional relationships. (The cereal was just the tool — the math was the main course!)
