HUES wants to say thank you to all of the people that donated clothes, shoes, etc.. to our school closet! We have received so many items to help our students. Mrs. Burt’s art students at HUES created colorful hot air balloons as part of a fun, hands-on project. They learned about how hot and cold air molecules move and change from Mrs. Alford. After designing and assembling their balloons, each group tested their creation to see how high it could fly. The students were excited to watch their hard work take off and loved seeing whose balloon soared the highest. This project was especially meaningful because Mrs. Burt did this same activity years ago when she was a student in Mrs. Alford’s 6th grade science class.
