HUES would like to thank our PTO for providing bagels for our staff yesterday morning for National Bagel Day. It was a much needed tasty treat. Thank you, PTO!

HMS students put their problem-solving skills to the test with a fun game of Math Bingo—choosing the best method to solve systems of equations! 🧮
Whether it was graphing, substitution, or elimination, students analyzed each problem, defended their choices, and learned that there’s more than one path to the right answer. 💡
Learning + strategy + engagement = a winning combination! 🏆

Students will be exploring careers and making plans for a bright further.

Art students in Mrs. Burt’s class explored the art of weaving through a hands-on creative project. Students practiced this weaving skill in preparation for making bookmarks next week. It took a lot of patience, but they had the best time.

Ms. Boyer treated her students to a Water Bar today for working hard and showing growth on their benchmark test(s). How fun! They loved it. We are so proud of them.

Junior Beta students were rewarded with a kickball game against one another today for their hard work and effort in fundraising. Students who sold an entire fundraiser card were able to participate. The money raised goes toward community service projects throughout the year. Thank you, students!

Houston Upper Elementary is also showing BIG support for our former toppers today! Good luck tonight Will Echoles in the Fiesta Bowl. We are so proud of you and Kennedy both! #gotoppers

HUES Christmas Staff Tailgate was exactly what we needed. Good fun and good times with our school family.

Mrs. Alford and Mrs. Shea correctly guessed our secret singers at HUES today! Oh what fun!

Another day of fun at HUES! Santa secretly sent lots of his elves to check on us at HUES. The teacher that found the most elves was Mrs. Sarah Thomas. She found 29 elves! Great job, Mrs. Thomas!

Lee-The week before Christmas break,HUES teachers and staff enjoy friendly Christmas related games and competitions against each other. On Tuesday, Mrs. Lee won the most bows in a rock-paper-scissors challenge. She was very competitive. Great job, Mrs Lee.

HUES had their 2nd annual D.A.R.E. Graduation/awards this morning. Very grateful to have such a wonderful program led by our SRO Mr. James Shea. During the ceremony, we took a minute of silence to remember Mr. Jeremy Voyles who was over our D.A.R.E program many years ago. Afterwards, we enjoyed a friendly game of kickball against the first responders. What a great day it is to be a topper!
