
HUES students who met their AR goals this past time were able to participate in the "Pizza and PJ" Party this past Friday. Our students work so hard on this. We are thankful to be able to provide times like this to reward our students for their hard work. AR is important as it helps our students to also become better readers. #readersareleaders









Our HUES Jr. Beta delivered gifts today to the Trend Health & Rehab of Houston. What a treat it was to be able to be a part of an opportunity to serve others. Our students loved it.

HUES Holiday Dress-Up Days will begin this Friday, December 13th. The flyer was sent home with students.

HUES drew our school counselor’s name, Mrs. Creadence Randle, for perfect attendance for the month of November. We are grateful to her for always showing up and being there for our students. Keep shining bright Mrs. Randle. HUES is a better place because of your constant efforts of being present and bringing positive change into our students’ lives.


We want to take this time to announce HUES’ November Staff of the Month, Ms. Denice Hagan. She goes above and beyond everyday for her teachers and students. She is a hard worker and comes to work everyday. She helps in all areas of our school and fills in wherever needed with a positive attitude. Keep on shining, Ms. Hagan!

She teaches with her whole heart. HUES is a better place because of wonderful educators like Mrs. May. We are so proud of her and she will only continue doing great things from here.

HUES' Teacher of the Month for October is Mrs. Madison Gordillo. Mrs. Gordillo is a wonderful 5th grade reading teacher who loves her HUES family. She comes to work and strives to do her best everyday. She is the epitome of "Positive." She always has a smile on her face with a contagious positive attitude. She works hard everyday to provide a quality learning environment for her students.


HUES' staff of the month for October is Mr. Justin Merriman. He is a hard worker for his 4th grade team. He goes above and beyond everyday to fill in where needed and be a support for his HUES family.
