The Topper Softball team is preparing for the season to start soon, weather has been raining or perfect weather these girls have been working hard to prepare for the upcoming season. The team has gotten new jerseys this week and the pattern is pin stripes.
The softball team now has their own batting cages so while the weather has been bad this week they have been steadily working. We hope the team does well through the whole season and gives our seniors a good way to end their senior year of high school softball.
HHS recently added banners to the entrance of the school. The banners represent the things that were done to become an “A” rated school. We also use “Don't Wish For It! Work For it” as an everyday motto to great success.


This week as students get back in the swing of things, our Journalism students have continued to work on our 2023-24 yearbook. Also, a group of students were working together to get the newspaper spread complete.

Poster project was done by AP European History. Students were studying the rise of the new monarchs. Then to follow up 6 groups were assigned a different monarch to illustrate then describe how they interacted with the army, and legislator, and what they contributed during their ruling. #ExpectSuccess







Health Science 1 students are working on making task cards and writing them down for their new upcoming topic: The Skeletal System.

On Tuesday, November 28, the Houston High School freshmen toured the CTE. During their tour, they ventured to all the different classes offered. Pictured is Chloe Sintikakis (Junior) teaching Luke Griffin (freshman) how to do proper CPR.

On November 18, 2023, the Houston High School Toppers basketball team hosted the Bruce Franks Memorial Classic Basketball Tournament for teams to come and compete. The teams that competed were Calhoun City, Aberdeen, Neshoba Central, Coffeeville, Bruce, Pontotoc, Grenada, and Oxford. The Lady Toppers pull away with a win against the Grenada Chargers.
On Thursday, November 17, 2023, the National BETA Induction was held at Houston High School for high school students. These students have shown academic excellence and have worked hard to be a part of BETA. #ExpectSuccess
