Calling her the GOAT isn’t even a stretch. Her care goes far beyond handing out Tylenol and ice packs—she brings compassion, comfort, and heart to every student she serves. She has a way of making people feel seen, valued, and cared for, and that impact reaches far beyond the nurse’s office.

HHS Teacher Appreciation Week is OFF to a strong start! 💥 Day 1 brought the energy with donuts and breakfast burritos for our incredible teachers and faculty, all generously provided by our amazing HHS parents. That’s how you kick off a week “Back to the 90s” — full bellies and big smiles! A huge thank you to our parents and Sonic of Houston for taking such great care of our staff. We appreciate you more than you know!

This week, we honor the hardest working teachers in Mississippi!!! Our rockstars at HHS and our Houston CTE will head "Back to the 90s" for some food, fun, and prizes!!!

2026 Houston High School Underclassmen Awards Day!

Class of 2026 Senior Walk at Houston Lower Elementary! Today, our seniors got to meet their 1st grade "pen pal"!!!

All 1st graders at HLES wrote letters to each senior at HHS. Each senior, in turn, wrote letters back to their 1st grade "pen pal"! Today, our senior got to meet their 1st grade pen pal and read their letters together!

WOW! This is what good school culture looks like! Our Toppers building community with our Tiny Toppers!

These letters will remain at HHS and when these 1st graders are seniors, these letters will be returned to them!

Today we celebrate a leader who truly makes a difference at Houston High School. Happy Principal Appreciation Day to Coach Zane Thomas. Coach Thomas brings energy, leadership, and a genuine passion for our students and staff every single day. Whether he is supporting our classrooms, cheering on our Hilltoppers, or simply making people smile in the hallway, he sets the tone for what it means to lead with purpose. Houston High School is a better place because of his dedication, his work ethic, and the way he invests in people. Coach Thomas, thank you for being the life of the party and the backbone of our school. We appreciate you today and every day.
