Our Topper Archers hosted Starkville Academy tonight and Houston came out on top!!! Keeley Wright was the highest female archer for the match with a score or 267. Ryan Voyles was the highest male archer for the match with a score of 271. He also shot two perfect rounds from 10 meters.

Today, Ms. Raines AP World History students participated in a Silk Road trade simulation. The purpose was for students to learn how the Silk Road connected Afro-Eurasian societies through the exchange of goods, beliefs and religions and how these exchanges affected communities through these interactions. #ExpectSuccess

Today was our first "Books & Brews" at the HHS Library. Students came into the "bookstore/coffee shop" to use their Topper Tickets (PBIS) to purchase a book and/or coffee! Dr. Garner and Mrs. Beckett-Willis welcomed over 50 students today! It was a fun day in the library! #ExpectSuccess

Congratulations to HHS Senior JD Chandler for landing a CYF Toyota internship! Out of 68 applicants, JD is one of 8 students who was selected to participate in the Creating Your Future Intern program at Toyota. This program offers seniors an opportunity to work at Toyota in five different “departments” after completing an orientation class at ICC Belden Center. Interns work 5 days a week from 1:00 to 5:00 pm gaining real world hands-on experience. Thank you Toyota for allowing students this opportunity! JD didn't wish for it! He WORKED for it! #ExpectSuccess
